    This third book in the Iron Fey series is as excellent as the previous ones, even more moving than the Iron King and the Iron Daughter.

At the end of the Iron Daughter, we had witnessed a great change for the Nevernever. Meghan thought she would be left alone once and for all. Unfortunately, she is about to learn that it is wishful thinking on her part. She will have to put and end to the Iron Fey so the Nevernever can find a temporary truce. It is fortunate for her that she can rely on Ash and Puck. Ash, the faithful Ash, whose commitment to Meghan is stronger than ever. Their feelings for each other run really deep, in spite of everything happening to them.

Reconciliation, fights, violence...can be found in this book. We thought we had faced the worse, it is not the case. This third book is even more sad, tears will surely be shed while reading it. The characters are not spared. New creatures are introduced to us, such as the Grim. As for the reader, he/she experiences the same as Meghan: sadness, joy, fear...

These trials somehow harden our protagonists, leading them to face their own fate courageously.

Fortunately, Puck casts a light on this dark place thanks to his being a chatterbox. Grimalkin is there as well, and it is clear that he knows more than he lets on.

Once again, we happily immerse ourselves in this faery-like and dark world. We scour this land with all kinds of creatures. Thanks to the fabulous and magnificent writing of Julie Kagawa, we are lead to believe we are also living in this place. Lots of action strenghten this feeling.

Moreover, the Iron Fey let us think about our world: new technologies might be dangerous to our kind: people could lose their dreams and become identical to each other, without any imagination left.

To sum up, the Iron Queen is so much better that the previous ones. We are so oppressed by this overwhelming emotion that tears will certainly be shed. A must read!
